How to Be Productive in 2 Hours a Day

Dilbert_MeetingMadness

Have you ever had an unproductive day?

Maybe it was an illusion of being productive where you felt busy and completed a lot of tasks then looked at the end of the day not one step closer to your ultimate goal.

I know I sure have and I felt like an octopus on roller skates. Lots of movement and not going anywhere.

It was only until I found out the simple secrets to being productive. Recently, I finished a Wisdom Webinar on Time and Energy Optimization. Most people will gain an extra 10-15 hours a week doing what’s really important in life.

Whether you are an entrepreneur, employee, or want to be a productive stay at home mom, the same principles apply.

Time is the great equalizer.

We all have the same amount of time during the day as Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Helen Keller, Mahatma Gandhi, Walt Disney, Michelangelo, and Mozart.

Pareto Principle and the 80/20 rule. 80% of your results will come from 20% of your actions.

Simple 3 Step Action Plan to Get More Done

1. Get Inspired and Motivated (Total Time – 5 Mins)

Move Your Body, Put On Inspiring Music, & Connect to Your Vision.

2. Schedule GameTime Sessions – Only High Income Generating or Most Important Tasks (Total Time – 90 Mins)

  • Two 45 Min Sessions. Our mind loses focus the longer we go.
  • No interruptions or distractions. No emails, phone calls, or co-worker visits. Exceptions are that it warrants a 911 call or you are in physical danger.
  • Most Important or Highest Priority Income Generating Actiivities Only

3. Plan & Visualize Your Day Before It Begins (Total Time – 25 Mins)
(Your mind will work for you while you sleep in creating solutions)

  • Best Times – Right before you go to bed. Right when you wake up.
  • Allow Your Mind to Work For You While You Sleep – Ask and let your mind process it.

Your mind will work for you while you sleep. If you have any questions you want answered, ask it and release it into your subconscious mind and in the morning you will either have the answer or have saved several hours of thinking or processing time to come up with the solution.

Students in the Genius Mentorship Academy use Genius Daily Rehearsals to optimize their day. You can experience it in the Wisdom Webinar on Time and Energy Optimization.

When you apply these 3 steps, you will be more productive in 2 hours than your average day. You will have more energy, less guilt, and feel free knowing that you always have time for what’s important.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments and go check out the webinar on Time and Energy Optimization.

  1. Hi Eiji!

It’s nice to be back on your blog. You always have really interesting info for us.

Th1s sounds terrific! AND I am sure that it is true. When I really get organized, create lists, focus, etc., my day goes really well.

So, if you add in Tips #1 & #3, it should be really powerful. I need to increase my productivity, so what have I got to lose, right????

    Thanks, Eiji!

  2. Hi Eiji,

You are 100% right. Getting your mind prepared before you begin is very important.

I’ve been working on my productivity for many years now and my days flow effortlessly. At the same time… I get pretty much everything I want to get done.

I also focus on the 20% that will bring me in the most results.

    Thanks Eiji,

  3. Eiji,
Great post. Couldnt agree more about the visualisation and planning stages being absolutely crucial to how productive our actual work time turns out to be. The shorter focus stretches of 45minutes sound like a great idea i will try out. Makes sense as the body as much as the mind needs the movement and rest periods to stay energised and focused.

    Hey Eiji

Great info, I am a huge believer of your third point, Plan & Visualize Your Day Before It Begins! I do this religiously and also notice on the odd day where I don’t, it really does effect my performance and day. I tend to fall into procrastination mode.
thanks for sharing this great info!

  5. Hi Eiji,
I really enjoyed this post. In addition to the points you made here, I also believe that it’s important for us to get to know our personal power times, even if they are different than most of the people you know. For instance, I know I am super productive between 10 pm and 2 am. That is challenging when I need to be up early in the morning but instead of fighting my natural clock, I save brain-intensive tasks for those quiet, powerful hours. Thanks for your thoughts, Allegra
