Personal Development Hits Primetime

Breakthrough
Tony Robbins, the father of modern Personal Development has a new show on Primetime TV. He’s trained millions of people around the globe and now for the first time has a show on network television on NBC on Tuesdays at 8pm. 7pm for CST.

Breakthrough With Tony Robbins Inspires

Perceived Image of Tony Robbins:

To the public, he’s mostly thought of as a motivational speaker and for a guest appearance on Shallow Hal with Jack Black. During the 80′s and 90′s, he was known for his late night informercials. Many people think he is a RA RA think positive trainer, on the contrary he’s a results oriented realist where you get absolutely truthful of where you are instead of living in a fantasy land where there is nothing wrong and from that point Tony guides you to where you want to go.

Tony Robbins
is a pioneer in life coaching before life coaching ever became a career. Coaching is becoming one of the fastest growing fields in the US.

For those who attended any of his live events, they know differently. Tony Robbins is a man with compassion and a commitment to see people get results and change their life. He has taken people on stage who are depressed, suicidal, abused, angry, who feel like they are victims and tranforms them into empowered, accountable, determined champions that have a future so bright you need to wear sunglasses.

My Personal Experience and Testimony:

I experienced a breakthrough when I attended his Unleash the Power Within. I was overweight and depressed and equated my self worth to my net worth. From that event in Orlando, I’ve lost over 50 pounds, found and married the love of my life, and be able to impact people’s lives by sharing the lessons from my greatest challenge.

His impact did not end there, I can honestly say if it wasn’t for Tony Robbins you would not be reading this right now or have even heard of Genius Squared. After attending Date with Destiny, I overcame the second biggest challenge in my life. I lost my ability to focus and think in a car accident where I was rear ended. For months I struggled and prayed if I ever got my mental health back I would never take it for granted ever again. My prayers were answered and from that point on using the coaching technologies that Tony and one of Tony’s Master Coaches taught me, I studied and modeled geniuses past and present so you can stand on the shoulders of the giants who stood before you.

Yesterday, I just watched the premier episode of Breakthrough with Tony Robbins. It featured an amazing couple, Frank and Kristin Alioto, who on their most joyous day became a nightmare. During their destination wedding not long after they tied the not, Frank dove into the pool and broke his neck that left him paralyzed. Tony takes the couple and helps them breakthrough in 30 days through some unique adventures and exercises.

Breakthrough with Tony Robbins is a fantastic show that inspires and I highly recommend you watch this with your family and loved ones. These are real life inspirational breakthroughs that show us that the impossible is possible and that puts our own problems in perspective. Stay tuned on the blog as we go deeper in some of the strategies and coaching strategies Tony uses to create the Breakthrough.

gold nuggetKey Nuggets of Wisdom:

Breakthroughs happen when you see the impossible possible.

Breakthroughs happen when you change a belief.

Rewrite your story. Pick one that strengthens you.

Believe that from tragedy there is a gift that is there to serve you.

There are no limitations just modifications.

Instead of telling someone, give them an experience to learn from it.

8/13/10 Update: NBC took the show off air after its second episode due to low ratings. About 3 million viewers tuned in. Those who tuned in raved about the show. NBC is looking to move the remaining shows to MSNBC or Bravo where 3 million viewers would be a top Cable hit.

    Eiji,

I just love the way you write. Thanks for sharing your personal story. Although we know each other a few years now I never had the chance tho hear this story the way you describe it here.

It is pretty incredible how certain people show up in our lives and from that point on we have this turning point and we change. When we look back we notice how appreciative we are for that person that stepped into their own irateness and power, let go of their comfort zones and shined their light proactively :-)

I am so inspired by you. You are a true person of action.
I appreciate you being thorough in this blog post. Since we consciously decided not to be connected to cables we are not really watching TV. We rent what we want to watch or we watch it on the internet. So thanks for posting the replay, I will definitely take a look at it.

    Have a great weekend.

Thanks so much for sharing your inspiring story. I am always so motivated and inspired when I see what others have overcome. We all have \"stuff\", it\’s just a matter of rewriting our story, just like you said here. My day is better for having visited your blog. Thanks.

  8. Just stopping by to say I really like your blog. I love the fresh green against the darker background and it’s really clear and easy to navigate.
You write well and I was very interested to read this post about Tony Robbins. Who hasn’t heard of him?! But I don’t actually know that much detail about what he says or does .. so you have inspired me to find out more. :)

    • Thanks Joanna for stopping by!

Tony Robbins is the father of modern day Life Coaching.

Most know him through his tapes, books, CDs.

Going to a live Unleash the Power Within event is a life changing event. If you ever get a chance to go, you will not regret it.

  9. Eiji…thanks for sharing your powerful insights into the life of Tony Robbins and the impact he has made on so many people…including yourself. I love the concept of rewriting your story. In our household we see ourselves as overcomers. We really don’t care what has just been dealt us we will fight our way through it and come out the other side better people…and usually having overcome the problem at hand.

I so appreciate coming over here and being blessed by your wisdom. Thanks again!

Well, I didn’t :( And I missed yet again so thanks to your post, I will definitely be catching up tonight and adding on my calendar so I don’t miss future episodes.

Tony Robbins is such a remarkable person. His impact and what he teaches is just “golden”. I am so happy that he was able to impact your life the way he did.

  11. Eiji,

Thank you for sharing your inspirational story of how you broke through to a life of happiness and success.

It’s unfortunate that more people don’t see the value of what Tony is giving the people he works with on the TV show… they’ve cancelled the rest of the series due to low viewer numbers. Seems more people would like to see someone win a million dollars on a game show than transform themselves and their lives.

    Thanks,

    • Hi Pat and Lorna,

Welcome back and thank you for stopping by.

2 Episodes is not enough to get word of mouth started to make it a hit.

It will likely be shown on Bravo or MSNBC and over time more people will connect with the stories that touch our heart and soul.

  13. Hi Eiji,
I’m glad to know someone personally that have been personally impacted by Tony Robbins. It is so amazing how you transformed your life for the best.

It is also so cool that you were recently able to met him.

I have read a few of his books and listen to him on audio. I’d love to participate in one of his programs as well.

I feel bad now that I didn’t watch the 1st two episodes when they aired, in fact, I still haven’t watched the recordings, but I will and will watch for the remaining episodes on MSNBC or Bravo. Thanks for letting me know that the remaining episodes will be aired.

Your story is amazing. Thanks for sharing it with us. You are very inspiring. We’re so glad you were able to use the genius of Tony Robbins to create the Genius of Eiji and then Squared it.
